Step 3: Upgrade gas pipework from meter
If your current gas pipework from your meter outlet is 15mm it will need to be upgraded so your new combi boiler can work. These are the new regulations:
Costs as follows for SUPPLY & FIT of:
22mm copper pipework: £4 per metre + £100 labour (upto 3 metres)
22mm copper pipework: £4 per metre + £140 labour (3 - 6 metres)
22mm copper pipework: £4 per metre + £180 labour (6 - 9 metres)
22mm copper pipework: £4 per metre + £220 labour (9 - 12 metres)
22mm copper pipework: £4 per metre + £250 labour (12+ metres)
maximum labour charge will never exceed £250
When 28mm copper pipework is needed the above labour rates will still apply but the pipework will cost £7 per metre.
